Colorado’s Best Facial Aesthetics
Aesthetics is a term that describes a deep appreciation for natural beauty and art, and this concept extends to our skin! Facial aesthetics refers broadly to non-surgical procedures designed to soften and rejuvenate the face, enhance natural beauty, and accentuate your features. Here at Dermal Advantage Med Spa, we are proud to offer the best facial aesthetic treatments in Colorado.
These non-surgical procedures include Xeomin®, fillers, and soft threading. Xeomin® can reduce fine lines and frown lines while fillers plump up and hydrate target areas of the face. Soft threading is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure to improve jowl and laugh lines.
Denver Xeomin Treatments
Say Goodbye to Frown Lines, Forehead Lines & Crow's Feet
Wrinkles are part of life, and we all get them eventually. We naturally express ourselves by smiling, raising and lowering our eyebrows, or squinting to see things. Wrinkles happen over time, and frown lines, smile lines and crow’s feet also find their way onto our faces.
Xeomin® injections help to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles. Xeomin® injections consist of botulinum toxin, an FDA-approved, purified neurotoxin that temporarily relaxes nerve muscles. This purified neurotoxin is similar to Botox®, but is less likely to cause the allergic reactions and desensitizations that make the injections less effective.

Dermal Fillers in Denver : Erase Years from Your Face
Reports show that 75% of Americans live chronically dehydrated. Dehydration affects facial appearance – when dehydrated from the inside out, your skin tone may dull, your complexion may appear uneven, and fine lines may become more noticeable.
Dermal filler injections do what their name implies – fill you up! Dermal fillers give a boost of hydration to targeted areas of the face, smoothing out lines, plumping out wrinkles, and restoring volume. Downtime is not usually necessary following an injectable filler procedure, making it a simple, effective treatment to help you look rejuvenated and fresh.
Belotero Balance is a prescription injection with a unique formula designed to bring back volume and fill in wrinkles. This filler treats chin wrinkles, vertical lip lines, wrinkles around the mouth, and nasolabial folds. The appointment for a Belotero Balance filler typically takes about 30 minutes.
Juvéderm® is a non-surgical, FDA-approved injectable filler that helps restore lost volume in the lips. It also adds fullness and can modify the shape of thin lips. Our highly-trained physician will administer a treatment personalized to your skin and your needs.
Revanesse Versa is a high-quality, hyaluronic-based injectable filler designed to contour and plump the face. This filler is versatile and long-lasting, similar to Juvederm®; however, the thicker formula allows for longer-lasting results. Revanesse Versa is used to treat moderate to severe wrinkles and folds.
PDO Max Smooth & Lifting Threads: Denver’s Best Non-Surgical Thread Lift Procedure
A PDO Max thread lift is a non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedure. Thread lifting on the jawline, midface, and neck helps lift and reposition sagging skin. PDO Max Smooth & Lifting Thread uses dissolvable, threadlike sutures to boost natural collagen production and lift skin tissue.
This non-invasive procedure is a quick, affordable alternative to a traditional facelift. Threading involves little to no downtime, and a lifting effect is visible immediately. Improvements from this procedure may last for up to two years.
Threading treatment for Glabellar lines involves using smooth threads. Tiny solid filler threads free from barbs, these smooth threads tighten and smooth the skin without using the lifting and repositioning technique used on the neck and jowls.
Soft threading is an effective treatment for smoker’s lines. The skin is pulled taut using the threading technique, and smoker’s lines are lifted and firmed. Smoothing the skin creates a healthier, more youthful appearance.
Facial wrinkles that run vertically between the mouth and chin are known as marionette lines. Soft threading treats marionette lines by lifting and tightening the wrinkles around the mouth.
Soft threading is an option for defining the jawline by correcting sagging jowls or tightening the neck. The effects of a jaw lift using soft threading typically last about 18 months and can be repeated if desired.

Xeomin FAQs
Xeomin and Botox are both injectable treatments that use botulinum, a bacteria-derived neurotoxin. However, while Botox contains several additives and inactive ingredients, Xeomin is a purified form of the neurotoxin. In fact, it is often called “naked Botox.” Because it is a pure form, Xeomin is less likely to cause allergic reactions and desensitizations.
After treatment, the effects of Xeomin typically last four to six months. However, several factors may affect how long the results will last, such as the location of the injection and the amount of Xeomin injected. Other factors that may influence the duration of effects include skin elasticity, age, and severity of wrinkles.
Other than feeling the pinch from a tiny needle, Xeomin treatments should not hurt. Varying needle sensitivity may cause slight discomfort. A topical anesthetic can be applied if needles cause any pain to the patient.
Side effects from Xeomin are extremely rare; however, when they do occur, it is most often in the form of mild pain, swelling, and bruising. Patients experience these side effects around the injection site, and they are typically the result of needle sensitivity instead of the injectable itself. As with any medical procedure or product, there is always a risk for more severe side effects, although this is not typically experienced with Xeomin.
Xeomin® is an elective cosmetic treatment that a patient can stop at any time. The results of Xeomin® are temporary, and your skin muscles will eventually continue working as they did before if you stop treatments. However, stopping treatments does not accelerate the aging process; if anything, you will continue looking younger than you would have if you had never received injections.
Dermal Filler FAQs
Consult a licensed aesthetician before scheduling services to determine which filler best suits your needs and lifestyle. Learning more about different dermal fillers and what they treat may give you an idea of what type of filler to consider. Understanding your desired result will also help guide you as you consult with your provider.
Patients experience very minimal pain when receiving filler injections. It will feel similar to a splinter; however, the pain should quickly subside following the injection when appropriately administered. Treatment areas may feel full, and lips may swell slightly but should not be painful.
Dermal fillers work quickly, and you will leave the office looking and feeling fuller in your targeted areas. The final results from your treatment will not be visible for several weeks after the settling process is complete. Over time, the filler product begins to settle into your dermal tissue, interacting with the water in your skin. The process hydrates your skin giving you a natural, healthy glow.
Many factors influence the longevity of filler treatment results. Most filler injection treatments will last at least six months, while some may last twelve to twenty-four months. Speak with your licensed aesthetician to discuss your filler product and the expected longevity of your specific treatment.
There are risk factors with all cosmetic procedures, including minimally invasive options like filler injections. Temporary side effects are typically short-lived and not experienced by all patients. Some common side effects may include redness, swelling, and some bruising. More severe complications such as skin damage or infection are rare. Ensuring that you are treated by a certified, licensed professional also reduces your chances of experiencing problems post-procedure.
Threading FAQs
PDO and Silhouette Soft® thread lifts are similar in that they both use surgical suture threading material that dissolves over time. However, there are a few distinct differences between the two threading procedures. The PDO Max threads use a Polydioxanone material and last about six months. The Silhouette Soft® thread is made from PLLA and PLGA (Poly L Lactic Acid & Poly Lactic-co-Glycolic Acid) and lasts an average of twelve months. Both threads promote collagen production in your body.
Thread lifts and injectables are both non-surgical cosmetic procedures that are minimally invasive and involve placing something under the skin. However, while fillers inject a liquid or gel-like substance, threading involves surgical grade suture threading that dissolves over time. Threading takes a bit longer, with appointments lasting about sixty minutes. Filler appointments can be a quick ten to fifteen minutes.
Results from a PDO Max Smooth thread lift last about eighteen months and depend on several factors, such as post-procedure skincare, the use of sunscreen, smoking, and natural skin laxity. As with most cosmetic procedures, results vary from person to person.
Thread lifts are less complicated and less painful than a traditional facelift. General anesthesia is necessary for the procedure. Patients may experience minor soreness, swelling, and redness manageable with over-the-counter pain relievers. Patients can drive themselves to and from a thread lift appointment.
It is common for patients to experience minor pain, swelling, and redness from PDO Max threads immediately following the procedure. The risk of minor complications is low but may include allergic reactions, dimpling, or pain under the skin. If they occur, complications can be addressed by your provider.
